Maurice Young has been at the forefront of Supply Chain and Logistics developments for more than 30 years. He has held a number of senior management positions and was, prior to starting his own consultancy practice in 2000, Senior Vice President of the world’s largest food service company. In this role he was responsible for the logistics solutions operated on behalf of the company’s major customers.  In addition he was responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance (including the handling systems and the IT/IS solutions) of the company’s temperature controlled warehouses at more than 100 logistics centres throughout Europe and the United States.

In addition, Maurice has been a major contributor to the development of numerous codes of practice and technical standards and is a frequent, speaker on technical matters relating to temperature controlled logistics at conferences throughout Europe, in the United States of America and Asia.

Maurice is also a Director of the Food Storage and Distribution Federation and has since 1978 been an active member of the Federation’s Technical and Safety Committee.  He has also represented the FSDF on several other industry bodies within the UK and throughout Europe.
